I know it’s a small issue but taking the time to mow and trim around your fixed downspout extensions can take a lot of extra time. Some people remove their downspout extensions out of frustration but then excess water is closer to your foundation. Or what if your kid does his mowing chores for the first time of the season and just mows over the forgotten spout extensions.

Carlson Exteriors installs all gutters and downspouts with a hinge and two strips of velcro. These minor changes make a big difference.

  2. Can you tell me where I can get replacement Velcro strips for my hinged downspouts? All of my Velcro strips are weathered and worn, so they no longer hold my down spouts up while I’m mowing….

    • Hi Rick, Sorry for the delay in responding to you. If you live near Bloomington, IL you can swing by the office and get them directly from us. If you don’t live near us, you can call the office (309-661-9001) and pay over the phone for them and we can mail them to you.

  3. I would like to order 4 downspouts with a hinge and two strips of velcro. Is that something that’s feasible?

    • Hi James, It is absolutely feasible. What’s your email? We can work out the details and provide you pricing. If you live far away from us, the cost effective route would be to just purchase the hinges, velcro, and screws from us then find your spout extensions from a dealer or box store near you.
