Shiplap

Shiplap has recently become widely popular thanks to Chip and Johanna Gaines. Shiplap is a wooden board typically used for the exterior of buildings but has now been trending to install ship lap on walls inside the home. Favorite locations for shiplap are in entryways, kitchens, or main living spaces. Shiplap can be left raw or unfinished wood, it can be painted, stained, or distressed.

Shiplap installation is rather simple and straightforward but the trim work around doorways, floor and ceilings is where a good craftsman contractor shines.
